Asphalt Products
Asphalt emulsions are an environmentally friendly and cost-effective product for use in today’s paving and preservation efforts. An asphalt emulsion is liquid asphalt cement emulsified in water. It is composed of asphalt, water and an emulsifying agent. The chemical used as an emulsifier greatly influences the properties of an asphalt emulsion. The emulsifier keeps the asphalt particles in suspension and controls the breaking time. It also determines whether the emulsion is cationic or anionic (or non-ionic). Chemical compatibility of the emulsifying agent with the asphalt cement is essential for producing a stable emulsion.

NW75 Membrane is comprised of a non-woven polypropylene fabric laminated to a rubberized asphalt waterproofing sealant-adhesive. NW75 seals and waterproofs joints and cracks, as well as bridge decks when installed following Polyguard installation guidelines. The open fibers of the non-woven geotextile fabric provide a mechanical bond to the new asphalt overlay, while the rubberized asphalt sealant-adhesive bonds to the existing pavement surface.
